The games however are ok for some people and I think you should make sure your child(ren) know it's fake. I read three of the books (The Silver Eyes, The Twisted Ones, and The Fourth Closet) and think they are not fit for children under 13 or 14. I am 14 and I have loved this game for years. I hope I typed this right and I don't make myself look stupid for typing something that doesn't make any sense or anything. A lot of it is creepier than the backstory.
The community is pretty cool and I love being a part of it! If someone very young comes into it I'd say to watch out for the fanart and stuff like that. The only thing I would say is the backstory is pretty spooky and to watch out for that. I think if your child enjoys the game, let them play it. I was scared a bit at first but eventually it just became really fun. My brother introduced me to the game when I was 7 years old. Don't take it away from them just because YOU think it's scary. So if your child likes the game and doesn't get nightmares and stuff like that (and also understand that it's just a game), then maybe let them play it. Just because your little 1 year old got scared by the spooky game doesn't automatically mean the game is bad.Įveryone doesn't like horror, obviously.
